The roots of Brown & Brown of Prescott date back to 1877, when a man by the name of C.P. Martindell moved to Prescott and began offering insurance to area homes and businesses. His company, Martindell and Horne, changed hands—as well as names—numerous times through the coming century. In 1998, Brown & Brown acquired Azcott Insurance and John Phillips Insurance to form their current agency. In 2008, AAA Advantage Insurance joined our team.

Brown & Brown of Prescott provides the community with commercial insurance, home and auto insurance, life, health and group medical insurance, workers’ compensation and bonds. The acquisition of AAA Advantage Insurance gave us the ability to adequately provide individual health and Medicare products.

Though affiliated with the parent company, Brown & Brown of Prescott operates autonomously as a local, independent agency. This provides us with the best of both worlds, being independent yet having the support and resources of the sixth largest agency in the country.

Local Involvement

Brown & Brown of Prescott is a member of the Chambers of Commerce of Prescott and Prescott Valley and YCCA.

The company is active in charity work and lends its support to:

  • Sharlot Hall Museum
  • YMCA
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona
  • Area schools through donations and Board of Director work
